The Stair Barrier's gates for banisters measure 32" high and are designed to fit stairways between 36" and 52" wide.

We no longer offer custom gates for widths smaller than 36" or wider than 52".

Stair Barriers are rigorously tested and meet the General and Performance Requirements of ASTM F1004, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Expansion Gates and Expandable Enclosures.

EASY TO INSTALL: Banister to Banister gates install in minutes without tools.

SIMPLE TO USE: There’s no trick to opening the gate and no bar at the bottom to trip over when the gate is open. To open, unbuckle three dual-release buckles on one side and roll the gate neatly to the other side.

MULTIPLE INSTALL METHODS: Stair Barriers be installed at an angle and do not require two flat surfaces for installation. Our unique straps and buckle system enable our gates to be adaptable to volute/curved banisters and all banister shapes. To get the tightest fit across your stairs, attach the buckles to banisters, spindles, multiple spindles, or a combination of both.
