Eligibility

30-day return window

We offer a 30-day return policy on all The Stair Barrier products purchased directly at thestairbarrier.com. If you purchased through another retailer, please initiate your return through that storefront.

To be eligible, items must be returned in new, unused condition with all original parts and original packaging included. Refunds are issued for the product price only — shipping fees are non-refundable.

Restocking fees

Only charged when applicable

If an item is returned in like-new condition with all original packaging and parts, no fee applies. Fees are only deducted when a return doesn't meet those conditions.

Refused shipments: If your order has shipped and you refuse delivery or request a return to sender, the applicable restocking fee will still be charged once the package returns to our facility.

Damaged, incorrect, or missing parts

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or missing components, please notify us promptly so we can make it right.

The process

How returns work

Click the link below to submit your return through our portal. We'll email you a pre-paid return shipping label within 1–2 business days. Your return must arrive at our warehouse within 10 days of receiving your label — drop it at any FedEx, UPS, or USPS location.

Once we receive your package, inspection takes up to 3 business days. Refunds typically post to your original payment method within 3–5 business days after processing.

Gifted a Stair Barrier?

Gift returns must be initiated by the original purchaser. Once approved, refunds are credited back to the original payment method.

We don't offer direct exchanges. To swap an item, complete your return through the portal and place a new order for the item you need.

Warranty

Built to last — and we mean it

The Stair Barrier warrants every product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of original retail sale. This warranty is valid for the first retail consumer only and requires proof of purchase. See your instruction manual for full details.

Optional at checkout

Free Returns Coverage

Add Free Returns Coverage at checkout and your return shipping label is included — no out-of-pocket cost if you need to send something back. Without coverage, you can still return your item, but you'll be responsible for the shipping label cost. All returns must follow the guidelines in this policy regardless of coverage status.
