Return & Warranty Information

Our Return Policy:

With the exception of final sale and custom-made gates, we offer a 30-day return policy on The Stair Barrier products purchased directly at www.thestairbarrier.com. If you purchased through another retailer, you must initiate a return through that online storefront. 

Customers may return products within 30 days of purchase for any reason if the item is in new condition with all of the original packaging and materials. Returns will be credited for the product only and are subject to a restocking fee.

To initiate the return process, please click here . We will provide you a pre-paid return shipping label via email. Once the package returns to our facility, please allow 3 business days for the item to be inspected. Once the refund is initiated, please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to post to the original account used to purchase the item(s).

Restocking Fee per item:

Banister to Banister models: $20.00

Wall to Banister models: $20.00

Wall to Wall models: $20.00

The Stair Barrier Accessories: $10.00

**If your order has shipped and you refuse to accept the package or request to return to sender, you will still be charged the restocking fee upon delivery back to our facility.

PLEASE NOTE: Final sale and custom-made products are not eligible for return. The Stair Barrier warrants the Stair Barrier to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original retail sale. This limited warranty is valid only for the first retail consumer and proof of purchase is required. See instruction manual for full details.  If a part is broken or needs replacing in the first year, please reach out to support@thestairbarrier.com.
